I adopt an eclectic approach to creative practice. I was educated in fashion Design at UCA Epsom on leaving school, and later completed a B.A. Hons in Fine Art: Sculpture at Camberwell College of Arts. I hold an M.A. in Computing in Art and Design from Middlesex University.
The skills I employ in my work are a result of my learning journey. In sculptural production I utilise stitch and pattern cutting procedures. I use digital and hand rendered processes for printmaking and I focus on freestyle stitch draw to develop mark making techniques.
My role as a lecturer and a teacher has been varied. I have taught widely in both Higher Education and Further Education, and worked as course tutor at Anglia Ruskin University on their B.A. Hons in Graphic Design. I also taught Fashion and Textiles at Cambridge Regional College to Foundation Level students. Most recently I have been a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Brighton, teaching B.A. Hons Fashion Communication in the School of Art and the B.A. Design for Digital Media, B.A. Animation, and B.A. Games Art & Design in the School of Media.
